QUASER – “Transparent qualifications for boosting the quality of services addressed to asylum seekers and refugees” is a project co-funded by the European Commission, under Erasmus + Programme/ Key Action 2 Startegic Partnership.
The Project
The project, coordinated by TOR VERGATA University (Italy), brings together 7 organizations representing 4 countries (Italy, Greece, Spain and Sweden), forming a transnational cooperation partnership with a balanced geographical representation of the Erasmus+ area. QUASER is also supported by the Italian Ministry of Interior.
The European Agenda on Migration declares the need to provide EU Member States with tools to better manage migrations. The implementation of this goal is based on engaging highly qualified personnel.
The overall objective of the three-year program, is to enhance the transparency and recognition of qualifications of people working in reception centers for Asylum Seekers and Refugees (ASRs), with the aim of facilitating their employability and labour mobility, and to improve the quality of services addressed to asylum seekers and refugees.
In particular, the project proposes the development of a practical Toolkit and related Guidelines for facilitating the transparency, validation and recognition of the skills, competences and qualifications of people working in reception and accommodation centers.
In addition, for reaching the ultimate aim of the project, Partners will also design 3 professional qualification prototypes for the most relevant skills and competences needed in reception Centres.
The qualifications, designed according to the Lifelong Learning European principles and criteria will contribute, moreover, to employability and professional mobility within Europe of operators working in ASRs centers.
